FAQs on CBD

CBD Canada utilizes CBD for medical purposes. You might be having questions regarding the use of CBD. Will it make you high? What are the benefits you are going to get? Will, it shows up in case am tested for drug use? The following are some of the frequently asked questions and answers to them.

What is CBD?

CBD is a chemical compound that is from the Cannabis Sativa plant which is also referred to as marijuana or help. It is a substance that naturally occurs in products such as edibles and oil to give a feeling of calm and relaxation, unlike the delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the main ingredient that is active in marijuana. CBD is not psychoactive.

So does it mean that CBD will not make me high?

You won’t be high. The cannabis plant has two players; the THC and CBD. CBD is the part that is a non-psychoactive portion of the cannabis plant. With that, it means that there will be no effects on you like euphoria. You will not feel altered or sedated in any way.

There are two exceptions to this. The first being, there are people who for unknown reason tend to react differently when it comes to CBD. There is about 5% of people who tend to feel altered whenever they take CBD, and they are the same ones who will have side effects from using it.

You don’t know how your body is going to react to a new supplement so when you are taking CBD for the very first time. You need to do it under supervision like the one at CBD Canada. It is important also that you buy CBD that is the third-party tested for quality assurance as it is not regulated.  It makes it possible to purchase a product that might be more or less than what is seen in the advert or even contain a little THC.

Where does hemp come in?

You have heard the terms cannabis, marijuana, and hemp all heaped together regarding CBD. The cannabis Sativa plant has two species, the marijuana and the hemp. Both of them contain CBD, but the hemp has much higher of it, which has a low level of THC – at about 0.3% as compared to what is in marijuana.

When talking about hemp oil, it refers to the oil that is extracted from the hemp plant. There are no cannabinoids – THC or CBD in the hemp oil. It is an ingredient which is packed with healthy fats, and you will find it in beauty products for the benefits of moisturizing.

What are the health benefits of CBD?

Epidiolex is the only medicine that has been approved by the FDA for treating certain types of epilepsy. But some people believe that the CBD helps in slewing other health conditions such as osteoarthritis, pain and for some, cancer.  Because of the lack of research, it becomes hard to know the actual benefits of CBD.

Is it okay to try CBD for pain management?

There are two pains you could experience; nerve and musculoskeletal and there could be benefits for using CBD to manage both types of pain.
