Food insecurity refers to the inability of a family to obtain or manage nutritious meals in terms of both quality and quantity to meet their nutritional needs. Financial difficulties can sometimes result in food insecurity for a long period of time. Food insecurity affects nearly 10% of the world’s population.
Our Work Is Close To Our Hearts
We at Meir Panim are committed to helping the 10.6% of people who are food insecure. We collaborate with local communities and do everything we can to help Charity For Israel them meet their food demands by ensuring their food security. Because we are committed to philanthropy in Israel. At Meir Panim’s dining centers, everyone is welcome to eat. Every day, hundreds of people visit our dining facilities for hot, flavorful, and healthful meals served by a server in a restaurant-like setting.

We look after children, the elderly, and anybody else who needs assistance at Meir Panim, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdowns. When everyone else was keeping their distance to save their lives, we moved ahead and held hands with hungry and heartbroken people. Despite the fact that our Or Akiva branch is closed on Fridays, we chose to keep it open due to an increase in the number of persons in need. We distributed Shabbat dinners, challah, and candles so that everyone could spend a wonderful Shabbat!
